I think the second lesson here is, find a new place to get your oil changed.

(Assuming it's an auto) Hope DX has a tranny cooler installed, and knows to turn overdrive off on hills.  Hell, at the pace we passed them uphill on our way to Centralia, they should have dropped it down to "2"

Ouch, I finally crawled under the X and looked at the undercarriage this afternoon. Not anywhere near the damage as some of you, but I was running intermediate and took it nice and slow (most of the time). I suppose I'm lucky, as it could have been worse, but here's the damage toll:

Spring hangers scratched a lot, gas tank skid is really ****ed up (took it off today and the tank itself is fine), small scrape in the front skid, small crease in the rear-most crossmember, bent washers on the rear shock mounts, and the stock tow hook got completely ripped off and didn't even get used once! Must have been one of the rock gardens at Rausch Creek.

Lesson learned: I really need to invest in some "real" skid plates.

That is to funny lykofos.  On one of the trails, Micheal found the remains of a factory tow hook.  Can't remember what trail it was however.

Yes, I did find a broken tow hook on trail 2.  Could have been yours Mike.  I don't remember how much was left of it, but I seem to recall is was complete except for the portion left on your truck.  I lost mine at Paragon during ECXC 2k2.  This year, Chris from MXO was trying to pull me back off a stump after my t-bar anchor broke.  He put just a little bit of tension on the strap and his tow hook just fell off.  I'm glad he didn't start with a strong yank.

Alright, add me to the list.  Had a small tear in the sidewall of the front tire.  Seemed like no big deal.  Then tonight, two weeks later, I get out of the truck and hear hisssssssss.  Watched the truck sink to the rim.  Off to the only Mr Tire in Maryland that has a 32" BFG AT in stock.
