What is ECXC?

The East Coast Xterra Challenge (ECXC) is the premier off-road Xterra event in the country.  It is designed to bring together Xterra owners from all parts of North America.  Although the name implies a hardcore off-road event, it is set up to challenge all skill levels of drivers and their rigs.

2008 marks the 8 year anniversary of the East Coast Xterra Challenge.  ECXC continues to grow each year with attendance more than doubling in 2003 and 2004 from the first East Coast Xterra Challenge, reaching 84 trucks in 2005.  While attendance has grown so has the number of sponsors as well as the number of great items given away at ECXC from companies like NismoStuff.com, Automotive Customizers, Shrockworks, ARB USA, Warn, Calmini, Skid Row Automotive and Xterra Xcursions to name just a few.  You can find out more about ECXC's great sponsors by visiting the sponsors page.

In 2006 we added a day to ECXC.  That tradition continues in 2008. The 8th Annual ECXC will be held at Rausch Creek ORV Park located in Tremont, PA.  It is a 4 day event beginning Thursday July 17th and running through Sunday July 20th.  Pennsylvania offers some of the best 4wheeling on the East Coast and Rausch Creek is the epitome of great wheeling with its vast number of trails covering every type of terrain except sand.

Rausch Creek is a relatively new park, which opened in 2003. ECXC 2003, 2004 & 2007 were held exclusively at Rausch Creek.  It is offers a significant number of trails well suited for our vehicles.  Trails at Rausch Creek include 2WD & 4WD access roads to extreme, hardcore, you will probably roll your truck if you attempt it.  Rausch Creek has several trails that will accommodate all level of riders with bypasses for more difficult obstacles.

The cost to wheel at Rausch Creek is $30 per day.  Rausch Creek offers discounts for advanced ticket purchase.  A two day pass is $50 and a 5 day pass is $100. A $25 registration fee to attend is required of all drivers.  The registration fee is due in advanced and must be paid no later than 4 weeks prior to the start of ECXC.  This fee is required only for the driver.

We will be setting up base camp at The Lickdale Campground in Jonestown, PA.  Reservations are not necessary as we will be taking over a portion of the campground.  There are several hotels across from the campground and also at exit 100 off I81 (ten miles north).

To learn more about the Rausch Creek and their trails, area accomodations, how we will divide up groups for wheeling visit the tell me more page.

If you have any questions be sure to visit the message board and post your questions.  If you're interested in attending, use our online sign-up form.  Filling out the form in no way obligates you to attend, but you must signup in order to receive important event information that cannot be found anywhere else.

Hope to see you there!
